Introduction: We all face unpredictable or challenging cases in the operating room or hospital setting in our careers. Oftentimes, the firsthand experience of a lost airway or intraoperative hemorrhage is the single best preparation for managing future incidents. Sharing these experiences will allow your colleagues to benefit and perhaps contribute down the line to a safer practice environment.
-
Objective 1: To provide a safe forum for exploration and discussion of difficult or challenging cases
-
Objective 2: To brainstorm and introduce avenues for practice-based or systems improvement
-
Objective 3: To provide a learning space for management of intraoperative crises
