Overview
The Stanford Enhanced Early Development Program is designed to support new faculty and hires in the department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine in their first year at Stanford. The orientation day is the first event in the program.
Course Learning Objectives
After completing this online course the learner will be able to:
- Discuss the basic components of the Stanford University benefits program and construct a benefits plan that meets their needs;
- Explain the purpose and function of the Anesthesia Mentorship Program and participate in program activities in which they may benefit;
- Identify key aspects of the Multi-Specialty Division workflow needed for faculty clinical success;
- Differentiate the department clinical divisions and the faculty lines that support them;
- Describe the department leadership structure;
- Identify mentoring and career development resources available to faculty in the department;
- Recognize OR Pharmacy resources and narcotics reconciliation requirements;
- Explain Stanford’s reimbursement, travel policies, EDF program and finance procedures;
